Predators

During a brutal LA heatwave, a turf war erupts between Colombian and Jamaican cartels. The Predator watches from the shadows as Harrigan dives into the firefight to rescue two wounded officers and drive the Colombians back toward their hideout. This opening clash foreshadows the Predator's methodical hunt of the humans nearby.

Harrigan, Cantrell, and Archuleta ignore orders and enter the Colombian hideout. Inside, they discover the slaughtered Colombians and the brutal signs of a decisive confrontation. The Predator's earlier disturbance hints that the hunt has begun.

On the roof, the crazed gang leader spots the Predator and fires at it. Harrigan shoots the leader, ending the confrontation. He dismisses the death as a mirage caused by heat and his acrophobia.

Back at the station, Harrigan is reprimanded for disobeying orders. Special Agent Peter Keyes and Detective Jerry Lambert are introduced as the new investigative team. The assignment signals a higher-stakes pursuit of the unknown hunter.

That evening, Jamaican assailants infiltrate the Colombian drug lord's penthouse and murder him, only to be slaughtered by the Predator in turn. Harrigan’s team notes the eerie parallels with the earlier massacre as Keyes' unit begins its formal investigation. The Predator's presence becomes a focus of the case.

Archuleta returns to the slaughter area and finds one of the Predator's spear tips before the Predator kills him. His death strengthens Harrigan's resolve to hunt the creature and bring it down before it claims more lives.

Forensic analysis reveals the spear tip is not composed of any known element. Harrigan begins chasing leads about the Predator, turning to local legends and myths to understand what hunts the hunter.

Harrigan visits the Jamaican drug lord King Willie to learn about the killer's nature. Willie claims the hunter is supernatural and warns Harrigan to prepare for battle. The Predator arrives and kills Willie, taking his head as a trophy.

A lead points to a slaughterhouse; Harrigan plans to converge with his team in the warehouse district for a confrontation with the hunter. The plan relies on using the district’s layout to trap the Predator.

Cantrell and Lambert ride the subway toward the warehouse district but are ambushed by the Predator. Lambert is killed, and Cantrell is spared because the Predator senses her pregnancy.

Keyes and his men set up a trap in a slaughterhouse using thermally insulated suits and ultraviolet lights with cryogenic weapons. The Predator detects their footsteps and uses its infrared vision to outmaneuver and slaughter Keyes's team.

Harrigan confronts the Predator on the roof; the creature destroys his weapon and activates a self-destruct device on its forearm. Harrigan disables it by severing the circuit with his disc.

The Predator retreats to an apartment to tend its wounds and then flees to a hidden underground spacecraft. Harrigan pursues and engages it in a final duel, ultimately killing the creature with his disc.

A cloaked group of Predators arrives to collect their comrade's body. The elder Predator presents Harrigan with an antique flintlock pistol engraved with 'Raphael Adolini 1715' as a trophy. The ship departs, and Harrigan mutters that the Predators will return.
