In the 1990s, Adv. John Williams relocates with his wife Daisy and their three children to a house by the sea in Thuruthikkadavu for personal reasons. Soon after moving in, he starts receiving letters addressed to a man named Freddy from an unknown address, and strange events begin to occur around the house.

John shares the Freddy letters with his friend Amir, who warns him to vacate the house and to recover the rent in advance from the owner, Thomas. The warnings heighten the sense of danger as the house seems to be more than just haunted.

John learns from Thomas's servant that the property was once used as a graveyard, deepening the mystery surrounding the letters. The revelation adds a supernatural undertone to the family's stay and feeds their fear.

To escape the unsettling atmosphere, John, Daisy, and the children move temporarily to Amir's house. While there, John receives another letter and resolves to return to the original house to uncover the truth about Freddy.

One night, the children are frightened by an unseen presence, and the youngest, Tittu, falls ill with a fever. Daisy asks Fr. Geo Kuttikkadan to come to their home and pray for Tittu’s recovery.

A doctor informs Fr. Geo that Tittu shows cholera symptoms and outsiders should avoid the house. Later, Fr. Geo learns Freddy is mentioned as Margaret's groom in a 1971 betrothal invitation and informs John about the connection.

John and Amir meet Margaret, now a doctor, and learn Freddy did not marry her; she is married to a doctor named Rajeev. The encounter reveals gaps in Freddy's past and raises new questions about the letters.

With the help of Peter, a parish clerk, John and Amir meet Fr. Francis, who has returned from Rome after being diagnosed with blood cancer. He recognises Anna Rose George’s letters and begins recounting her and Freddy’s story.

In the 1970s, Freddy, a PhD student and son of a wealthy man, falls in love with Anna Rose George, an orphan raised by a priory in Kochi. Anna starts a homestay in Thuruthikkadavu with her savings, and Freddy moves in with her.

Freddy's family arranges a marriage proposal for him with Margaret, while Anna loses her priory status after the priory learns of their relationship. Freddy leaves his family residence and moves in with Anna at her homestay.

Cholera spreads in Thuruthikkadavu and Anna dies after contracting the disease from one of her guests. Fr. Francis buries her near the homestay instead of the common graveyard, defying usual customs.

The next morning, Fr. Francis opens Anna’s grave and finds scratches on the coffin, realising she did not die from a natural cause but drowned due to rain and flooded mud. With Fr. Francis’s help, John and Amir reach Freddy’s house and deliver Anna’s letters to Freddy’s mother.

After John returns home, Anna’s soul briefly enters Mariya, John’s elder daughter, and asks about Freddy. Freddy arrives and explains he didn’t deliberately avoid her, but Anna leaves Mariya’s body.

John and his family move to a new house, while Freddy stays behind, hoping Anna will forgive him and speak to him again someday. The letters and the unresolved romance linger as the haunting threads tie the narrative together.
