Paradox

Lee Chung-chi learns his 16-year-old daughter has vanished while on a trip to Pattaya and travels to Thailand to search for her. He is joined by local detective Chui Kit and Thai cop Tak, and they quickly run into the criminal Sacha.

Clues connect the daughter's disappearance to a Pattaya mayoral candidate who is desperate for a heart transplant. Lee begins to suspect that Cheng Hon-sau is colluding with Sacha to abduct his daughter.

Lee kidnaps a corrupt officer, Ban, to extract information about the case. The action pushes Lee into a nationwide manhunt as authorities brand him a criminal.

Chui and Tak locate a taxi driver's apartment with dashcam footage of Lee's daughter; Sacha's gang arrives first, leading to a rooftop confrontation. Tak gains the upper hand, kicking Sacha off the rooftop and saving a bystander child. Sacha feigns defeat and then hurls the child, and Tak is killed when he is kicked off the roof.

Under interrogation, Ban reveals the location where Lee's daughter is stored. En route, Lee's car collides with Cheng's car carrying his daughter; police pursue after spotting Ban's clue, and Lee escapes while his daughter is delivered to Sacha's headquarters by Cheng.

Ban is killed in the hospital after his capture. Police Commissioner Chai warns Chui to drop the case, signaling a cover-up and putting their lives at risk.

The mayoral candidate's heart transplant is completed. Cheng orders Chai to unleash a police assault on Sacha and his henchmen.

Lee rushes into Sacha's headquarters and defeats many henchmen but is overwhelmed and wounded. Chai orders the police operation to kill Lee, but Chui intervenes, saving Lee and continuing the fight against Sacha.

The police SWAT team storms Sacha's HQ, killing the remaining henchmen. Lee, Chui, and Sacha are forced to hide as the confrontation continues.

Chui reveals the awful truth to Lee about Cheng's role in the scheme. Lee then discovers his daughter's corpse, grieving deeply for the loss.

Chui nearly defeats Sacha, but Sacha knocks him out with a fire extinguisher and closes in with a bonesaw. Lee interrupts the attack and, in a brutal struggle, bites Sacha's ear and fatally slashes his throat with the bonesaw.

Chai arrives and is urged by Chui to spare Lee. Cheng admits he was behind the crimes. Lee kills Cheng and spares the mayoral candidate, then, driven by grief, turns the gun on himself.

Chui's wife is released and she later gives birth to a child. Although Chui feels relief and happiness, he is haunted by the memory of Lee's sacrifice.
