P-51 Dragon Fighter

An archaeological Nazi expedition uncovers a dragon's egg and hatches it, beginning a secret breeding program. The dragons reproduce and expand the brood under the control of vrill witches. These witches link psychically to the dragons, enabling their command.

Dragons reproduce parthenogenically, with females laying multiple eggs and producing many offspring. This asexual reproduction rapidly swells the Nazi dragon brood. The growing force makes the threat harder to counter.

Vril, Aryan witch women, are psychically connected to the dragons and command them. Their link gives the Nazis strategic power in the skies.

In 1942, Dr. Heinrich Gudrun, a Nazi cryptozoologist, arrives with his dragon brood to the North African front. The aim is to use the dragons to regain air superiority for Rommel's Afrika Korps.

General Ward forms the Ghost Squadron, an unofficial Allied fighter unit led by Lieutenant John Robbins. The squadron is tasked with countering the dragon threat in the North African campaign.

In P-51 Mustangs, the Ghost Squadron leads the dragons into a trap composed of several flak guns. The plan pays off as two dragons are shot down; one dragon is downed by a pilot who then marks the location but is killed.

Robbins and his friends drive to the shoot-down site to gather intelligence but are captured by German soldiers. They are taken to the front lines to meet Field Marshal Rommel.

Rommel expresses doubts about Gudrun's intentions and the vrill's control, explaining that rare male dragons can herald the fall of civilizations. He warns Robbins that an egg may be hidden in Gudrun's incubator complex beneath a mountain.

Rommel provides the incubator's location and reveals an inside man who can open an air vent into the facility. An Allied plan forms: a combined air strike with a B-17 Fortress and a supporting SAS ground mission to destroy the incubator and its eggs.

Dagmar, a vrill British agent, opens the facility's air vent to give the Ghost Squadron access to the incubator. The team must destroy the eggs and stop the dragon threat.

Gudrun releases Asuzaka, a gigantic male dragon, into battle. Gudrun is incinerated by Asuzaka, ending his threat.

During the aerial battle, Lt. Marks is the only Ghost Squadron pilot to emerge unscathed as others ram dragons to delay their assault. The Fortress reaches the mountain facility and destroys the incubator, taking out Asuzaka and the remaining dragons.

It is initially believed Robbins is killed, but a SAS ground party locates him. He is returned to the headquarters hospital where he reunites with nurse Rachel McKee.

With all dragon eggs destroyed and the adult dragons killed, the Allied air threat ends and conventional weapons resume control of the war. This victory shifts the balance in the North African theater and ensures future engagements rely on traditional weaponry.
