Our Town is Thornton Wilder’s three‑act play that follows ordinary citizens of Grover’s Corners from 1901 to 1913, illustrating daily life in early‑20th‑century America. The Stage Manager breaks the fourth wall, using metatheatrical techniques to present the town’s history within a 1930s theater setting. The production originally aired on Showtime and later on PBS’s Masterpiece Theatre (season 33, episode 1).
