Surya is the only child of two loving parents, and he grows up feeling unlucky because whatever he wishes for tends to slip away. Tragedy strikes when he loses both parents in a car accident and ends up in an orphanage.
Years later, Surya becomes an assistant manager at Corporation Bank. His childhood friend, Nela Baludu, also works at the same bank as a peon. One day, Nela Baludu tells him he has been shortlisted for a promotion to manager, but the opportunity never materializes, leaving Surya's spirits dampened.
One night, a drunken Surya returns home to find a letter bearing a photo of an unknown girl. The letter asks for a reply, but he carelessly tears it up. The next day, he wakes to realize the photographed girl is real and strikingly beautiful. At the office, he confirms he has been promoted to manager, and a spark of hope lights up his life. The mystery woman is Divya, a presence who seems to bring him unexpected luck.
Surya begins to see the girl as his lucky charm, though Nela Baludu brushes it off as mere coincidence. Later, they spot the girl on TV, and Surya believes that good things are destined to come his way. True to that belief, he wins a favorable judgment in a long-running property dispute affecting his family, reinforcing his sense that fate might be turning in his favor.
Driven by a new resolve to marry the girl, Surya offers Nela Baludu his flat if he helps locate her. They search all over Hyderabad and eventually trace Divya’s address in Gachibowli, learning that the girl is Divya. To get close to her, Surya moves into her penthouse by joining as Dileep’s roommate, a setup that places him close to the object of his affection.
Divya, however, has been in love with Dileep for four years, but Dileep’s unemployment stands in the way of their marriage. Divya, who respects Surya, asks for his help to find Dileep a job so they can marry. Surya agrees, even as he privately jokes that he might be courting fate itself to marry Divya.
To help his friend, Surya arranges for Dileep to secure a job abroad in Dubai, hoping the opportunity will clear the path to Divya’s hand. Rani, a wealthy woman, enters the picture by asking Dileep to elope with her. Dileep chooses Divya over Rani, but tells the other woman that he is willing to marry her if required. The wedding plans move forward, and Divya even invites Rani to the wedding, only to discover that both fiances share the same name—Dileep, a twist that adds tension to the proceedings.
On the wedding day, Rani arrives and creates a tense moment. To divert her, Dileep pretends he has met with an accident with the help of his friend Venkat. Nela Baludu manages to seize Rani, and the truth about Dileep is exposed on the wedding stage.
