Operacja Samum

A retired Major Józef Mayer visits a doctor who warns of a possible deadly illness. The doctor says his condition may lead to death. Mayer contemplates his uncertain fate as the political situation worsens.

The scene shifts to Baghdad where Iraqi security forces raid a CIA safehouse. Walton and his two colleagues scramble to escape and go into hiding. The raid sets off a chain of dangerous maneuvers for foreign agents in Iraq.

Karen Pierce warns Mayer to leave Iraq immediately, signaling danger ahead. Pierce is connected to Mayer’s personal life through an affair with his son Paweł, raising the stakes for everyone involved.

While in a military prison, Paweł is tortured for not disclosing Pierce's location. Iraqi secret police grow suspicious and suspect him of being a spy. His fate becomes a critical lever in the rescue plot.

Back in Warsaw, the head of the UOP informs Mayer that his son has gone missing after meeting Pierce. Mayer vows to retrieve his son and unravel the deeper conspiracy behind the disappearance.

Mayer learns from an embassy attaché that Karen Pierce is a Mossad agent. This revelation links the missing individuals to a wider intelligence network and complicates Mayer's mission.

The Chiefs of UOP, Mossad, and CIA agree to extract the agents from Iraq. They decide to use Mayer as bait to lure out the CIA operatives, while Mayer hopes to rescue his son.

Mayer pushes for entry into Iraq undercover as a construction engineer. Pierce escapes Iraq and secures Magnus's microfilm with Saddam's daily schedules, increasing the urgency of the extraction.

Mayer arrives with a driver fluent in Polish to the Iraqi construction site. He joins Broński and Kosiński in their search for his son and the missing agents amid deteriorating safety conditions.

Pierce returns to Baghdad and delivers information on the agents' location to Broński. The teams coordinate their escape attempt under growing Iraqi pursuit and surveillance.

Kosiński tracks the agents through Iraqi security and moves them onto a bus toward the Polish Embassy. Polish passports and new cover identities are issued to conceal their identities and complicate pursuit.

The team crosses the Iraqi-Turkish border and then advances toward Turkey. After the border crossing, Pierce is shot and killed by an Iraqi colonel, dramatically altering the rescue operation's outcome.

Back in Poland, Mayer, Broński, Kosiński and the UOP chief are awarded medals of distinction at the American Embassy. The film closes with Mayer reacquainting with his estranged son, providing a somber sense of closure.
