After a difficult climb to the top, Wally Hogan has things finally going his way as the manager-trainer of Bullets Bradley, the fighter who has just claimed the lightweight championship. Life takes a sharp, unwelcome turn when Bradley is drafted, forcing Hogan into a risky new game. Enter Herbert Tuttle, a fresh draftee who is eager for Hogan to mold him into a champion.
