Legends speak of a paradise razed by a fire kingdom. The novice crew of the laser‑sailing schooner Starlight embarks on a historic interstellar test flight, intercepting a seemingly wrecked ship that houses a lone survivor, Sara Cyanbaker. Unaware, they are racing toward Earth as a mechanized fleet, whose scout destroyed Sara’s vessel, closes in.
