Mitros and Mitrousis, two poor roommates, scrape by taking odd jobs—from a neighborhood kiosk to a restaurant kitchen. Desperate, they swindle creditors by selling promises of a hair‑loss remedy they claim to be producing. When the lenders discover the fraud, they chase them, unaware that a shrewd industrialist is quietly perfecting the very medicine they fabricated.
