Arthur Harris returns home to discover his wife Fiona is leaving him. Devastated, he drinks heavily and attempts suicide, even trying to electrocute himself with a lamp. Suddenly a mysterious man in a leather coat offers any odd jobs. Arthur hires him to kill himself. The next day Fiona returns, but the hired killer continues his deadly pursuit.
