Night of the Creeps

In 1959, aboard a spacecraft, two aliens are in a frantic race to stop a reckless crew member from releasing a dangerous experiment. Their efforts are thwarted when a third alien, overcome by a malevolent force, impulsively shoots a canister into space, setting off a chain of catastrophic events.

The canister crashes down to Earth, landing near a college student who is out on a date. While they investigate the falling star, they encounter an escaped, dangerously insane patient wielding an axe, leading to a tragic attack on the girl.

Following the attack, the boy discovers the crashed canister and is shocked when a small, leech-like creature jumps into his mouth. This event marks the beginning of a terrifying series of incidents that will haunt the characters for years to come.

Fast forward 28 years, Chris Romero is still dealing with the emotional aftermath of losing his love. He finds solace in his friendship with J.C., who is disabled, and they both navigate the complexities of college life together.

During a fraternity's pledge week at Corman University, Chris finds himself smitten with Cynthia Cronenberg. In an attempt to win her affections, he resolves to join a fraternity, unaware of the challenges that await him.

The fraternity initiates require Chris and his friends to steal a cadaver from the medical center, leading them to a secretive cryogenic storage area. When they inadvertently awaken a preserved body, fear drives them to a hasty escape.

Detective Ray Cameron, troubled by his past, becomes involved when a break-in at the cryogenics lab reveals that one of the preserved bodies is missing. This discovery ties him back to the horrific events of 1959.

As chaos unfolds, the resurrected body of the boy from 1959 returns to haunt the same sorority house where he once met his date. In a grotesque transformation, the head splits open, allowing a swarm of leech creatures to escape, terrorizing the area.

The next day, Chris and J.C. confront the fraternity brothers who suspect them of the preceding night's horror. They barely escape a tense situation only to find themselves interrogated by the police, complicating matters further.

Cynthia confides in Chris and J.C. about a mysterious dead cat and an eerie connection to the zombie-like body at the sorority house. As skepticism arises, J.C. witnesses Cynthia's growing attachment to Chris, deepening the tension.

The deceased attendant rises from his table, confronting the same janitor who witnessed Chris and J.C.'s escape. This confrontation signifies the return of chaos as the presence of the undead looms larger.

Chris discovers a tape recording from J.C. that reveals part of the leech creature has infested his brain. The tape also outlines that heat is key to exterminating them, prompting Chris to rush to the boiler room for help.

As Chris and Cynthia unite against the undead, Detective Ray prepares for the decisive showdown. Amid a battle against waves of enemies, Chris realizes that chaos is far from over as more slugs gather in the basement.

In a dramatic moment, Ray ignites gasoline in the basement, triggering a massive explosion. Chris and Cynthia narrowly escape, sharing a poignant kiss as they watch the sorority house engulfed in flames, marking a bittersweet victory.

As the smoke clears, a chilling element remains—the dog that caused the initial bus accident reemerges, releasing a slug. This ominous moment hints that the terrifying saga might not be over, leaving the audience in suspense.
