In 1939, Sir Nicholas Winton decided to embark on a perilous mission to rescue children from Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia. His courageous effort aimed to save those innocent lives from the impending doom they faced.

Winton worked tirelessly to facilitate the escape of 669 children, navigating complex logistics and dangerous circumstances. His efforts involved transporting these children through Hitler's Germany to safety in Britain.

In 1988, a BBC program aired that would reveal the incredible truth about Winton's past. The show featured a heartfelt reunion between Winton and approximately one hundred children he had saved, highlighting the emotional impact of his deeds.
