Never Say Never Again

Back at MI6 headquarters, Bond's superior, M, along with a tactical analyst, reviews a playback of what turns out to be a staged training exercise. Bond faces criticism for being 'killed' during the exercise, which M attributes to his oversight of critical mission details.

Following the assessment of Bond's performance, M orders him to a rehabilitation center named Shrubland's for a period of recovery. Despite Bond's insistence that he was merely a participant in M’s war games, M remains unconvinced.

At the rehabilitation center, Q, the ingenious Quartermaster, arrives to equip Bond with specialized gadgets, while Miss Moneypenny, M's insightful secretary, provides oversight. Their interaction highlights the critical edge Bond relies on for his missions.

Meanwhile, in a bank in France, Fatima Blush meets with Blofeld, the leader of SPECTRE. They discuss the audacious plan called 'The Tears of Allah,' which revolves around a jade pendant gifted to Domino Petachi by Maximillian Largo.

Largo teams up with Fatima to steal two nuclear cruise missiles, leveraging Jack Petachi, Domino's brother. Jack is set to undergo eye surgery that will allow him to mimic the President of the United States to facilitate the scheme.

During his recovery, Bond is ambushed by Lippe, a hulking adversary. Their chaotic fight wreaks havoc on the rehabilitation center, culminating in Lippe’s gruesome demise as he accidentally impales himself on shattered glass.

At an American air force base in Britain, Jack Petachi betrays his country by replacing dummy warheads with real nuclear devices during a test flight. However, his treachery leads to his unexpected death at the hands of Fatima, who causes a deadly accident.

The stolen missiles are launched from a British stealth bomber but are intercepted by Largo’s operatives, who divert them to crash into the ocean. SPECTRE then holds NATO ransom for the missiles, solidifying their malicious plans.

Determined to uncover the truth behind the nuclear heist, Bond investigates Petachi's connection to Largo, leading him to Nassau in the Bahamas. His inept MI6 contact, Nigel Smalls, offers little assistance as he seeks answers.

In Nassau, Bond encounters Fatima Blush once again, who lures him into a deep-sea adventure. While diving, Bond realizes her ulterior motives when she covertly attaches a tracking device to him, intensifying the peril of their encounters.

Bond learns of a charity event hosted by Largo, seeing it as an opportunity to get closer to his objective. During the event, Bond defeats Largo in a video game of strategy, cleverly using their connection to gather crucial information about Jack’s demise.

As tension escalates, Bond finds himself in a deadly underwater battle against Largo. He faces life-threatening challenges while trying to thwart SPECTRE's sinister plans involving nuclear weapons and global devastation.

In a reflective moment during a holiday with Domino, Bond receives news from Nigel Smalls that M wishes for Bond to return to active service. In a poignant declaration, Bond states, 'never again,' marking a significant point in his journey and acknowledging his iconic departure.
