Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Lost Tower

Naruto Uzumaki Junko Takeuchi, Sakura Haruno Chie Nakamura, Yamato Rikiya Koyama, and Sai Satoshi Hino are assigned a high-stakes mission to capture a dangerous missing-nin named Mukade. In the ancient desert city ruins of Loran, they confront Mukade as he seeks to seize the power of the Ryūmyaku—the deep, world-spanning chakra hidden beneath the land. Mukade shatters the seal Minato Namikaze Toshiyuki Morikawa had placed on the Ryūmyaku, unleashing a brilliant, overwhelming light that engulfs Naruto and Yamato while Sai and Sakura attempt a desperate escape on an ink-bound flight.

The light tears Naruto and Yamato through time, propelling them twenty years into the past. When Naruto awakens, he meets Sāra Saori Hayami, the queen of Loran, and learns that Mukade has traveled even earlier in history and renamed himself Anrokuzan, the minister who has already claimed the life of Sāra’s mother, Sēramu Yumi Touma. Reconciling the danger with a vow to protect Sāra, Naruto steps into a tense alliance with the past’s defenders: Minato, Shibi Aburame Kenji Hamada, Chōza Akimichi Nobuaki Fukuda, and Kakashi Hatake Kazuhiko Inoue. The group races to save the kidnapped citizens and thwart Anrokuzan’s growing Puppet Ninja Forces, while Naruto clutches Minato’s kunai as a symbol of hope and tenacity.

Sāra’s memories begin to stir as she recalls Sēramu’s lullaby, a moment that anchors their fragile friendship. Anrokuzan escalates the conflict by using the tower’s parts to assemble a colossal defensive puppet, a threat that tests every ally’s resolve. In a dramatic display of resilience, Minato and Naruto unleash a regenerative surge of chakra that culminates in the legendary Super Rasengan. Sāra, with quiet determination, disables Anrokuzan’s final technique, and Naruto pierces the puppet’s vulnerable core, ending the minister’s reign of danger. Yamato and Kakashi work to pull Naruto and Sāra to safety, while Minato seals the power once again with the kunai. As the present moment slips back into view, Minato makes the ultimate choice to erase the memories of this mission from the participants, ensuring history remains unchanged.

Back in the present, Sakura and Sai rejoin Naruto and Yamato in the ruins, the danger resolved but a curious aftertaste lingering in the air. They encounter Sāra’s daughter, who still guards the ancient chakra blade once wielded by Naruto. The blade had been entrusted to her mother by a “Hero in a Dream,” a revelation that prompts Naruto to instinctively reach for his familiar weapon only to discover it’s not there, leaving him momentarily dumbfounded. Sakura, quick to ground him, pinches his ear and teases that dreams don’t supply blade handles, hinting at the mystery that still surrounds Naruto’s legacy—and the truth that sometimes legends return in unexpected forms.
