All Is Well

The film opens with Inder Bhalla, portrayed by Abhishek Bachchan, an aspiring song composer who faces a tumultuous relationship with his father, Bhajanglal, played by Rishi Kapoor. Bhajanglal, who manages a struggling bakery, is desperate for Inder to help out at the shop, but Inder’s dreams of musical success lead to a fierce rejection of his father’s wishes. Feeling disrespected, Bhajanglal expels Inder from their home, leaving a deep-seated resentment within Inder, despite Bhajanglal’s lingering affection for his son.

Seeking to escape, Inder embarks on a journey to Thailand with his friend Ronny, portrayed by Sumeet Vyas, who shares similar ambitions in music. The pain of missing his mother, Pammi Bhalla, played by Supriya Pathak, weighs heavily on him, especially since their communication has dwindled over the years. In a twist of fate, Inder receives a phone call from Cheema, acted by Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, who falsely claims that Bhajanglal has sold the bakery and wants Inder to claim his share. Believing the lie, Inder rushes back to India.

Upon landing, he shares an unforeseen reunion with his girlfriend Nimmi, played by Asin, who is coincidentally on the same flight. They both travel to Inder’s home, where he discovers Cheema’s sinister plot; his father has been kidnapped by Cheema and his henchmen. As the grim reality unfolds, Inder learns that his father had fallen into debt with Cheema and desperately borrowed money but could not repay it. To secure their safety, Inder must scramble to gather the necessary funds.

Back home, Inder is devastated to find out that his mother suffers from Alzheimer’s and has been taken to an ashram by Bhajanglal, leading to a surge of anger towards his father. A family road trip persuades Inder and Bhajanglal to seek help, but their journey reveals further complications. At a bank, they aim to access funds belonging to Pammi’s late brother, only to unearth the painful truth: Bhajanglal divorced Pammi due to circumstances largely beyond their control.

This revelation transforms Inder’s perception of his father. Recognizing his father’s innocence and sacrifices, Inder rekindles his love for Bhajanglal. In a final act of redemption, he sells his compositions to pay off Cheema, reunites his parents in marriage, ties the knot with Nimmi, and revitalizes his father’s bakery. The film culminates in a heartwarming scene where Inder, Nimmi, Bhajanglal, and even Cheema, now turned ally, work together to breathe new life into the family bakery, marking the end of a tumultuous yet transformative journey.
