Mirrors

The story begins with a man fleeing from an unknown threat, finding refuge in a locker room. There he is confronted by multiple reflections of himself, leading to a psychological breakdown as the largest mirror shatters.

After the initial sequence, we are introduced to Ben Carson, a former undercover detective struggling with his past after an officer-involved shooting. He reluctantly accepts a security job at the Mayflower department store, which has a grim history.

On his first night at the Mayflower, Ben feels uneasy and notices the unusually clean mirrors. An eerie experience occurs when he sees a door opening in the reflection, leading him to investigate, but he finds no answers to calm his anxieties.

As Ben continues his shifts, he begins to experience unsettling visions and injuries from the mirrors, which he attributes to the medication for his alcohol addiction. The strange handprints appearing on the mirrors are a sign that something sinister is at play.

Feeling overwhelmed, Ben comes across a wallet belonging to Gary Lewis, the previous watchman. This discovery reveals cryptic clues about the store's dark history, including information about a fire and the identity of a mysterious figure known as 'Esseker.'

Ben shares his troubling experiences with his sister Angela, who is skeptical about his claims. Despite her disbelief, the chilling events unfold as Ben investigates further, leading to unsettling discoveries about Gary's death.
