Arivu works as a writer for a press and is the eldest son of a retired police head constable and his wife. He shares a happy middle-class life with his brother Mathi and his friend Kumar who is treated like family. This peaceful setup lasts until crime begins to creep into their world.

Mathi pressures his parents to buy him a bike to satisfy his girlfriend. At first, the family hesitates, then they reluctantly agree to get him a bike of his choice. The delay and his desire for status begin to stir his curiosity about money and the outside world.

Mathi meets Ganesh, who flaunts money and casual spending. Ganesh introduces Guna and his gang of young chain snatchers, planting the seeds of crime in Mathi's mind. Mathi's curiosity grows as he contemplates what money can buy.

Mathi decides to join the chain-snatching gang to earn fast money. The others are hesitant at first, but two boys are caught by the police and Guna does not come to their aid, convincing them to join. Mathi begins earning from the gang's activities.

He returns home to recover a chain and other stolen gadgets he had hidden from his parents, only to find his mother with them. A heated argument erupts, and Mathi, in a fit of rage, pushes his mother to death. The tragedy shatters the family and sets Arivu on a path of vengeance.

Arivu and his father arrive home to discover their mother dead, and Arivu vows to avenge the loss. Kumar joins him in pursuing the criminals. The investigation begins as Arivu starts taking matters into his own hands.

During the investigation, Arivu and Kumar track down a house breaker and capture him, torturing him and filming the act at an unknown location. They hand the footage to the police and Arivu escapes with the bag. The bag contains 23 kilograms of stolen gold chains, the hidden loot of the gang.

Arivu takes the bag to a black market buyer and discovers his mother's chain among the stolen items. This discovery confirms the direct link to the chain-snatchers. He leaves the place after confronting the men, killing them to escape.

Meanwhile, Mathi injects Guna with a drug that drives him insane. Arivu goes to Guna's place to learn the next plan of the snatchers. He and Kumar travel to the indicated site to confront the gang.

The final confrontation erupts as Arivu and Kumar confront the gang, killing 3-4 men. In the chaos, Mathi removes his helmet and reveals itself as Arivu's brother. Arivu and Kumar reveal themselves to Mathi, shocking him; Mathi pleads for mercy, but Arivu kills him.

The next day, Arivu and Kumar reveal the truth to Arivu's father and surrender to the police. The family confronts the consequences of the violence, and the brothers face the aftermath together.
