Many years later, Saltanat's son goes abroad to study medicine, fulfilling a hopeful dream for the family. The family returns to Salim's grave to pay their respects. In a final twist, an old man near the grave—long-time garbage cleaner—reveals himself to be Akhtar Hussain.
