Picture Abhi Baki Hai follows Amar Joshi, Suniel Shetty, a man who runs a small video library in Benaras and dreams of becoming a filmmaker. Despite his father’s objections, he makes a bold choice: he sells the library to enroll in a film institute in London, hoping that formal training will open doors to the kind of storytelling he longs to bring to life.
After completing his course, Amar lands in Mumbai, the city of dreams, determined to make his own film. His only real connection to Bollywood is Suraj, a struggling actor doing bit roles in TV serials, who becomes his quiet link to the heart of the industry. Amar’s early days are spent knocking on doors, meeting various producers who each insist on putting their own mark on his story, testing his resolve and patience.
When the road ahead looks bleak, Amar crosses paths with Monty Chadda, Rakesh Bedi, a savvy PR publicity man who sees real potential in Amar’s project and decides to back it. The plan to push the film forward hinges on securing a cast, and Guptaji, the star secretary, helps bring in Mohini, Udita Goswami, along with her starry mother Mummyji, who agree to sign on. With Mohini onboard, excitement swells around the production as the filming gets underway.
Yet trouble arrives quickly. Monty vanishes, and Amar finds himself summoned by Sudama Bhosle, a shrewd don who finances the film and wants Amar to complete the project while casting his girlfriend Tina in a pivotal role.
