Steffen, a recent school graduate searching for work, lives with his widowed mother, a newspaper reporter. He stays steady despite a few disruptions: his girlfriend’s jealousy over his friendship with Charly, a boy from a reform school, and his mother’s tipsy, affectionate advance one night, triggered by his resemblance to his father.
