Mard

In the early 20th-century India, Raja Azad Singh defends a fort from British soldiers attempting to plunder it and reclaiming the stolen jewels. He marks his newborn son with the word "mard" to symbolize strength and bravery. The victory sets the stage for a resistance-led saga.

Lady Helena, a sympathetic Englishwoman, uncovers the soldiers' brutalities, prompting reprimand from colonial authorities. Her act exposes the cruelty of the occupation and seeds resistance.

English officers General Dyer and Inspector Simon, together with local doctor Harry, scheme to capture Raja. Harry sedates Raja, leading to his capture and imprisonment.
