Kallu is an eight-year-old devotee who eagerly wants to visit the Sabarimala temple. Her grandmother repeatedly narrates the life of Lord Ayyappan, fueling her curiosity and faith. The film establishes her pilgrimage as a sacred quest she dreams of pursuing.

The bank issues a seizure notice on Ajayan's house as his debts mount, and he hides the notice from his family. He vows to take Kallu to Sabarimala and begin the rituals, a pledge born of desperation. This sets the financial pressures and family secrets in motion.

Ambadi publicly harasses and roughs up Ajayan, an act witnessed by Kallu that magnifies the family's shame. The public humiliation compounds his stress and despair, leading him toward a tragic end. The incident underscores the social pressures simmering around the family.

Following Ajayan's death, the bank seizes the family home, leaving the family in jeopardy. The grandmother moves in with Ajayan's elder sister, and the broader family support network fractures as loans and losses mount.

Kallu grows frustrated by being unable to go to Sabarimala and yells at Piyoosh, Unni's son. Piyoosh decides to accompany her to help fulfill the pilgrimage. Their budding alliance sets the plan in motion.

Piyoosh and Kallu board a bus toward Pamba to begin their pilgrimage. On the way, they encounter Mahi, a local goon who is a pedophile and trafficker targeting children. Piyoosh senses the danger and tries to dissuade Kallu, but she remains determined.

Unni and Kallu's mother inform the police about the missing children, triggering law enforcement involvement. The situation grows tenser as Mahi continues to pursue them and the kids rely on a potential guardian. The gap between danger and safety narrows.

A man named Ayyappan boards the bus and appears to be heading to Sabarimala. He befriends the kids, while Mahi tries to present himself as their guardian uncle. Ayyappan promises to accompany them on the journey.

On reaching Pamba, police restrict temple entry for the rest of the day, forcing the group to take a forest route. Mahi and his henchmen close in to beat Ayyappan and kidnap Kallu, but Ayyappan overpowers them in the struggle.

During the events, Kallu envisions Ayyappan as the deity and shares dreams about him. The next day, Ayyappan helps the children reach the shrine and then reveals his true identity as CPO D. Ayyappadas of the Pamba police, who boarded the bus after seeing Kallu’s photo to fulfill their wish. The police subsequently arrest Mahi and his men.
