"The biggest little singing star" unfolds in a drama set in the Maine woods. While vacationing at a boys’ camp, Chip Winters befriends composer Johnny Selden, who seeks inspiration for his operetta and finds it in Chip’s mother, singer Irene Winters. Her fiancé Walter Mays blocks her return, plunging composer into depression and writer’s block.
