Mr. Majnu

Vikram Krishna, also known as Vicky, is a strikingly handsome young man who flirts with everyone and has never settled into a serious relationship. He is played by Akhil Akkineni. Nikitha, nicknamed Nikki, is a hopeful young woman who dreams of a husband like Lord Ram, beautifully brought to life by Nidhhi Agerwal. One day, on the way to work, Nikki witnesses a moment of indiscretion that leaves her horrified: Vicky is caught romancing with the dean’s daughter in her home, a scene that paints him as a “dangerous character” in her eyes.

Despite her initial disgust, Nikki’s brother is slated to marry Vicky’s younger sister, which forces Nikki to spend time with him while shopping. As they spend more time together, Nikki starts to see a gentler side of Vicky, and the spark between them grows into genuine affection. She confesses her love and asks for a two-month relationship, with a quiet agreement to keep their families out of it. Vicky agrees, though he warns that their romance might not withstand the pressure if it becomes public and could complicate matters for his sister. The relationship soon becomes complicated as Vicky grows uneasy with Nikki’s enthusiastic, all-in approach, while Nikki herself tries to steer him toward a more conventional life.

When Nikki inevitably shares the truth with their families, a sudden engagement is arranged. Vicky opens up to his best friend, Chitti, about the difficulties he’s facing. Nikki overhears this confession and, feeling used and burdensome, breaks up with him in front of everyone. Devastated, Vicky watches Nikki depart, while she departs for London, believing she has been left behind by the man she thought she loved. Vicky, convinced of his true feelings, follows to London to prove his devotion.

In London, Vicky discovers that Nikki has told their story to everyone in her colony, and the once-warm community turns cold, resenting him. He is introduced to the locals as Krishna by Pulla Rao, who lives in the same colony, and he makes earnest attempts to win their trust and win Nikki back. Yet Nikki remains skeptical and pushes back against his efforts. After a tense period of protests, misunderstandings, and miscommunications, Vicky speaks openly with Nikki’s family and heads back to India, leaving the romance hanging in the balance.

Back home, Nikki’s family helps her realize the depth of Vicky’s love and the hurt caused by the spreading rumors. She learns that Vicky’s hardships were shared only with his best friend, not with the wider community, which had painted him as a villain. Nevertheless, Nikki’s own actions and stubbornness had contributed to the rift, and her efforts to mend the situation begin to take shape. In a dramatic turn, Nikki rushes to the airport to catch Vicky before he leaves, even damaging a car in the process. She pleads for a chance to talk, asking to discuss the matter with a higher authority. The film ends on a cheeky, suggestive note: Vicky, ever the charming lover, appears ready to charm the, now-willing, police officer, signaling that his reputation as a tireless romantic seeker might endure beyond this story.
