A vibrant road‑movie about sweeping love and rock‑and‑roll rebellion against the stale 1950s atmosphere. Lulu, a wealthy German girl, falls for Jimi, a young Black man, and together they flee the oppressive forces of Lulu’s mother Gertrud, her secret lover Schultz, the chauffeur and the sinister psychiatrist Von Oppeln.
