Commissioned for a Danish staging of Alban Berg’s opera LULU, Lewis Klahr creates a cut‑out animated collage that reshapes the work’s themes into a rapid torrent of images. His inventive palette and symbolism distill the heroine’s moral dilemma while echoing Expressionist motifs, all compressed into the length of a pop‑song refrain.
