Lucky Jo and his three friends are criminals who survive on small burglaries, but luck never smiles on them. Unpredictable events keep landing Jo in trouble, often resulting in one of the group being arrested. When Jo is jailed again, the others resolve to go on without him, yet he continues to aid them from the shadows, only to cause more trouble.
