Over a weekend at a hotel along Portugal's northern coast, tensions rise within three families. A man struggles to balance his commitment to his wife with the complicated relationship he has with his mother. Meanwhile, one mother manipulates her daughter’s marriage to pursue her own affair with the groom, while another lives vicariously through her daughter, hindering her independence. The film explores the complexities of family dynamics and the challenges of acceptance as these families face turning points in their lives.
