On the coach toward Seattle, a young Korean man named Hoon borrows US$30 from Anna to buy a ticket and gives her his watch as security. He hints at trouble but disappears, leaving her wary yet intrigued. The exchange seeds a dangerous connection between them.

Anna arrives in Seattle and runs into Hoon again. The two spend time together, sharing meals and conversations that deepen their uneasy bond. Anna starts to rely on his presence during her fragile parole period.

The next day, Hoon appears at Anna’s mother’s funeral, bringing tension with his arrival. Later, he gets into a fight with Wang at a restaurant, further entangling Anna in a perilous world she is trying to leave behind. The danger around Hoon becomes more personal and immediate.

When Anna boards the bus to return to prison the following day, Hoon initially says goodbye. He then unexpectedly joins her on the trip, complicating both of their lives and blurring the lines between aid and danger. The pair move deeper into an uncertain alliance.

At the rest stop, Steve and his henchmen close in on Hoon. Steve reveals that Ok-ja is dead and hints that the police are closing in, implying he killed her and plans to frame Hoon. The tension shifts to a deadly edge as truth surfaces.
