Kunjidhapadam travels to the city for an interview and secures a place to stay with his distant relative Subramanyam, who is secretly a loan defaulter. Subramanyam hides his key at a secret place, and Kunjidhapadam takes it to settle in and also starts a new job. The arrangement marks his entry into the urban underworld and a new, uncertain start.

Angel grows up as an orphan and works for a mineral water company. Lacking a stable place to stay, she scouts vacant houses and camps there overnight before moving on at dawn. Her path intersects Kunjidhapadam when she ends up at his relative's house by chance.

Two dons, Pavadai and Vembuli, are locked in a feud. After Vembuli kills Pavadai's son, Pavadai vows to kill Vembuli's son by the twelfth day ceremony. The vendetta sets the stage for the ensuing violence.

Pavadai's goons mistake Kunjidhapadam for Subramanyam and compel him to deliver money. He secretly proposes a plan to kill Vembuli's son, and Pavadai imposes a 16-day deadline, threatening severe harm if he fails. The mix‑up pulls Kunjidhapadam deeper into their dangerous game.

Vembuli discovers the plot and attempts to kill Kunjidhapadam. Kunjidhapadam survives the attack, coming back to continue his entanglement with the rival gangs. The danger intensifies as both sides press their advantage.

After the confrontation, Kunjidhapadam reunites with Angel and tries to borrow money from her to return to Pavadai, money that Subramanyam had to supply. Pavadai confirms that Kunjidhapadam's real target is Vembuli's son, raising the stakes of their pursuit.

Following the confrontation, rival gangsters seize his files, including his degree certificate. He later meets Angel again to return her money, while Pavadai arrives with double the amount and a gun. The trio plans to stay at the home of a film star (as depicted in the Telugu version).

Kunjidhapadam and Angel shadow a man working under Vembuli and slip into a restaurant, where he learns that Vembuli's son is hidden on a moving airbus guarded by many security measures. He tracks the bus and confronts the son, hoping to secure him a job with Pavadai’s security. He is warned not to face Vembuli again.

The couple hides at a minister's house but is captured the next morning and escapes from his gang. A police officer helps them and brings them to the station, where their marriage is registered by mistake, marking the station’s 100th wedding. They share their first night together and realize their love.

The next day, Kunjidhapadam seeks Vembuli's son, who ends up in a small boat; Vembuli's henchmen throw him into the sea. Kunjidhapadam swims to the boat and demands his degree certificate, but the henchmen tear all certificates. One henchman then tries to send Angel to him for prostitution, heightening the peril.

Enraged, Kunjidhapadam kills Vembuli's son and then returns with his body to the shore, where he eliminates all of Vembuli's henchmen. He carries the body to Vembuli's house as a final act of vengeance. He then kidnaps Vembuli and Pavadai, ties them to rocks, and murders them.

Kunjidhapadam and Angel reunite and set off together toward Hyderabad. They board a train for a brighter future, leaving behind the criminal web and embracing a potential new life.
