Two families, one rooted in Kaikaluru, Andhra Pradesh, and the other from Kolkata, begin a sprawling, intertwined tale that follows the lives of Madhu and Siddhu from the moment they are born. As babies, they cross paths in a bustling shopping complex, setting the stage for a story that will weave together devotion, distance, and a stubborn pull toward each other.
As Madhu grows, her father dreams of a secure, nearby marriage for his daughter, hoping to keep his family close and his daughter from ever feeling unattached. But life throws a wrench into those plans when Madhu’s would‑be groom elopes with his girlfriend, apologizing for not wanting to ruin another girl’s life. This turn of events nudges Madhu toward a different path, and the family’s expectations begin to loosen just enough to let new possibilities breathe.
Meanwhile, Siddhu’s life takes a fateful turn when he earns a visa to study in Canada. On the way to the airport, a car accident lands him in the hospital, where a transfusion of Madhu’s blood becomes a quiet, life‑changing moment. The twist softens into a practical chance: Madhu persuades her father to let him pursue higher studies rather than pressing for an immediate marriage. Siddhu cannot make it to Canada, but he ends up in the same college as Madhu, and the two quickly become good friends. In this period, they also help their friends—Santhi and Babu, who are in love—navigate the pressures around their romance. Santhi and Babu’s relationship faces pressure from Shanti’s father, a dominant figure in the neighborhood, whose disapproval looms over their future. Nagendra Prasad plays the character Babu, the man Santhi loves.
A lighthearted misstep marks a turning point: during a study session, Madhu’s sari lifts in a breeze, revealing her navel, and Siddhu’s glance is read as more than innocent. Madhu accuses him of ogling, he denies it, and a heated argument ensues about hidden feelings. The moment fractures their friendship, and the two drift apart, each nursing a growing, unspoken ache.
After the summer holidays, the truth about Santhi and Babu’s love surfaces for all to see, forcing Madhu and Siddhu to step back into action to protect their friends. In the process of helping them, the two realize that their own bond has deepened into something more enduring. They attempt to confess their feelings, but the path to admitting love is messy and imperfect. Yet, they continue to move forward, gently nudging letters into the hands of their shared circle, letting a mutual kindness pave the way for what might come next.
Ten years pass in a whirlwind of life’s surprises. Madhu and Siddhu are married and have seventeen children—an extraordinary brood that includes a triplet and several twins. Madhu is pregnant again as they are interviewed for a Guinness World Record celebrating their remarkable family. The film closes on the unlikely, joyful note of a couple whose life has become a testament to love’s resilience, the chaos of family, and the quiet triumph of choosing each other again and again. In their world, happiness grows not from perfection, but from the steady, patient cultivation of a life they built together.
