Narayana, Horse Babu and his accomplice pull off a brazen bank job in Hyderabad, netting ₹1 crore. When the police close in, a fierce gun battle erupts, and the chase ends with the deaths of a gang member and several officers. Narayana, going rogue, shoots his partner and betrays Nayar, Paresh Rawal, hoping to keep the loot for himself.
With the net tightening on Hyderabad’s exits, Nayar and his men close in, tracking Narayana to his brother’s photo studio. Before he can be caught, Narayana hides the clue to the money in one of the photo envelopes. The envelope falls into the hands of Satya, a middle-class working woman, Sridevi, who doesn’t yet grasp the trouble she’s stepped into, but the envelope carries a hint about where the stash is hidden. As Satya makes her way home, she is accosted by one of Nayar’s men who demands the envelope; in the struggle, Satya stabs him in self-defense, and her nosy neighbor immediately calls the police. The thug dies on the line, and it’s later hinted that Narayana’s brother may have had a hand in the grim turn of events.
Meanwhile, Chandu, Venkatesh, a small-time thief who poses as a police officer to con people, crosses paths with Satya at a Dhaba. Satya fills him in on what happened, and Chandu’s protective instinct kicks in as he inadvertently saves her from harassment by a gang of hoodlums. When the real police close in, Chandu misreads the situation as a pursuit of him and seizes Satya, slipping away into the jungle with her while Nayar’s men join the chase.
In the forest, Chandu and Satya face a succession of risks—evading the police, Narayana’s brother, and Nayar—yet a bond starts to form between them. They stumble upon Nayar’s truck, using it to slip from the wilderness back into the city. Realizing Satya’s apartment is a crime scene and will be guarded, they improvise a risky plan to scale the building from outside through a neighboring unit.
The envelope finally reveals its key: a storage receipt for a cloakroom at the railway station, pointing to the hidden money. Evading both Nayar’s henchmen and the police, Chandu and Satya navigate a tight web of danger to recover the clue. A confrontation erupts at Chandu’s own apartment with one of Nayar’s men, whom they tie up to buy time, while Satya keeps guard and watches for any sudden move. The henchman breaks free and radios Nayar, forcing Chandu to rethink his choices about the money.
A police informant tips off the authorities, and a tense shootout ensues. Chandu manages to subdue Nayar and secure the receipt, and the two of them race toward the station with the pursuing gang in hot pursuit. They reach the station and retrieve the money bag, then climb aboard a moving train to flee. At the next stop, Nayar and his henchmen board the train, leading to a brutal clash atop the cars.
Cornered by Nayar and one of his men, Chandu and Satya face a gunpoint stand-off. To prevent being shot, Chandu threatens to drop the money bag over the side. With little choice left, Nayar stops the train in a desperate bid to retrieve the cash, but misfortune strikes the henchman and the driver—both fall away as the engine detaches. Seizing the moment, Chandu leaps back aboard, grabs the bag, and makes a daring jump off as the engine crashes into nearby houses. Nayar is finally arrested, and the money is returned to the authorities.
In the aftermath, the police complete the net and the recovered funds are accounted for. Satya, cautious but hopeful, asks Chandu to take her home and even suggests an introduction to her mother; with a smile, the roguish Chandu agrees, hinting that a complicated, perhaps unexpected future could lie ahead for them both.
