On the day of the wedding, Christy infiltrated the proceedings and drugged Satya, rendering him groggy. He then slipped into the groom's role and drove away with Sandra under false pretenses, using the confusion of the wedding day to execute his plan.

While in the car with the supposed groom, Satya managed to call home from a groggy state. Sandra heard muffled sounds on the line and pieced together that it was Christy who was with her in the car, not Satya. She cleverly pretended normalcy to coax him into revealing their destination.

After Sandra's realization about Christy, the getaway led to a remote island rendezvous. Surya Narayanan, who had been pursuing Christy throughout the investigation, tracked them to the island and arrived just in time to intervene during the confrontation.

After Surya shot Christy, he plummeted into the sea. However, Christy miraculously survived the fall and emerged from the water not dead but defeated. This leaves an uneasy aftermath as the villain survives despite being stopped.

After Sandra returned from the United States where she received successful treatment for her illness, she openly confessed her love to Satya. The experience of facing mortality and surviving gave her the courage to pursue happiness with the man who had shown her genuine kindness.
