Koi… Mil Gaya

Dr. Sanjay Mehra builds a supercomputer and sends variations of Om into space, hoping to contact life beyond Earth. He believes he has detected a response from extraterrestrials. His colleagues ridicule the experiment, doubting its legitimacy.

While driving home after the signal, Sanjay is killed in a car explosion and Sonia is injured. Rohit is born soon after with a developmental disability as a result of the tragedy. The family begins a new life together with Sonia determined to raise Rohit.

Sonia learns that surgery could cure Rohit's disability but carries grave risks. To protect him, she moves Rohit to the quiet town of Kasauli and raises him there. She chooses a life away from the dangers of the city.

Years later Rohit is a schoolboy with a disability. Nisha arrives in town and is initially insensitive to him because of his jokes and his condition. Rohit's friends and Sonia challenge her, and Sonia reveals Rohit's condition to Nisha.

Realizing her initial misjudgment, Nisha befriends Rohit and begins to understand him better. She also becomes more accepting and supportive as their friendship grows.

Rohit, Nisha, and friends discover Sanjay's old computer and inadvertently activate it, summoning an alien named Jadoo. The alien forms an instant bond with the children and Rohit.

Jadoo reveals his psychokinetic abilities and explains his powers come from sunlight. Rohit begins to show sharper thinking and stronger skills as a result. The group witnesses Rohit's sudden leaps in perception and intellect.

The next morning Rohit experiences a breakthrough: he solves a seventh-standard math problem orally, wowing his math teacher and the principal. He also successfully answers a challenging question from his computer teacher. The group realizes the extraordinary potential Rohit now has.

Rohit's powers escalate and Raj's gang challenges him to a basketball game. Rohit's team wins with Jadoo's help as the sun shines. After the game, Rohit confesses his love to Nisha, who reciprocates.

During the chase, Raj's gang drops Jadoo and a bag containing him is seized by Constable Chelaram Sukhwani, who calls for backup. Rohit rescues the bag's occupant, but Jadoo escapes when Chelaram is calling the officers.

Inspector Khurshid Khan, suspicious of Rohit, confronts him at his house with other officers. The police seize Jadoo and knock Rohit out, leading to a tense standoff.

Rohit regains consciousness and races to reach the police vans to save Jadoo from being sent to the United States. The flying saucer returns and Jadoo leaves, while Rohit reverts to his old self, avoiding prosecution and earning government praise for his actions.

Raj's gang harasses Rohit again and insults Nisha. Rohit realizes Jadoo's powers have permanently returned, and he uses them to stand up for Nisha. Rohit and Nisha get married, cementing their bond.
