KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park

Abner Devereaux, the park's engineer, resents that Kiss's looming concert is stealing the spotlight from his animatronic attractions. Calvin Richards, the park owner, explains the concert will bring in needed revenue to offset ongoing quality-control problems. The rivalry sets the stage for a dangerous clash between ambition and entertainment.

Melissa grows worried when her boyfriend Sam Farrell, a park employee and Devereaux's assistant, goes missing. Three punks sabotage a ride, and Devereaux is blamed for the incident. Tensions mount as the search for Sam begins and suspicion falls on Devereaux.

Melissa visits Devereaux's underground laboratory, the last place Sam was seen. He initially denies seeing Sam, but after Melissa leaves, Devereaux reveals that Sam is under mind-control via a neck device. The park's facade reveals a dangerous hidden agenda.

The three saboteurs enter the Chamber of Thrills and fall into traps Devereaux had prepared. Meanwhile, Richards fires Devereaux for his erratic behavior and disregard for guest safety. Devereaux swears revenge on Richards, the park, and Kiss.

Shortly after Kiss's first concert, Devereaux attempts to discredit them by unleashing a robotic copy of Gene Simmons to wreak havoc on the park. After the show, Kiss, Melissa, and Richards confront Devereaux in the underground laboratory. He stands frozen in a catatonic state, seemingly defeated. Paul Stanley removes the mind-control device from Sam's neck, returning him to normal. Richards laments that Devereaux created Kiss to destroy Kiss—and in the end, it destroyed him.
