Priyanka dislikes Raghu because he represents everything she opposes, his carefree attitude, popularity, and refusal to conform to the social hierarchy she maintains on campus. Her disdain intensifies when she sees Raghu connecting with Aarthi, as this threatens the control she wields over the college environment and the social dynamics she has carefully constructed.

Early scenes show Priyanka using her brother's influence to reshape the college, establishing her need for control.

Priyanka exploits a situation where a male peer possesses vulgar photos of Aarthi, using this to blackmail her. She then fabricates additional photos with that same peer to destroy Aarthi's reputation and taint her relationship with Raghu. This calculated move drives a wedge between the couple while positioning Priyanka as a better alternative.

Priyanka murders her own brother Pughazhenthy because he stands in the way of her obsession with Raghu. Raghu buries Aarthi's chain at Priyanka's grave as a symbolic act of closure. It represents burying the past, the violence, manipulation, and tragedy that defined his relationship with both women. The gesture marks his readiness to move forward while honoring what was lost.
