Raja gains admission to the MBA program at Ramachandra College thanks to the intervention of Dr. Ramachandra, though he initially believes it is his own merit. The backstory reveals Ramachandra’s poverty and the hardships his family faced, including his father’s desertion and his mother’s sacrifices. To honor his late sister and realize a better life for others, he dedicates himself to building India’s premier institute. This history motivates his approach to Raja’s education.

Raja and Roja meet online and begin exchanging pictures, sparking a romance across continents. They imagine a future together before ever meeting face-to-face. These online exchanges lay the groundwork for their eventual real-life encounter.

Roja discovers that Raja is connected to Ramachandra as more than a student, and she learns that her father intends to marry her to Rajesh Gupta, a wealthy rival. The family backdrop complicates their chance at togetherness.

Roja sends an email confessing her love for Raja, while Raja feels bound to protect Ramachandra’s plans and declines to reciprocate openly.
