The film opens with Johnny English lost in a whimsical fantasy where he imagines himself as 'Agent One.' In this vibrant daydream, he shows off his incompetence by flirting with danger and taking down guards in a comically exaggerated manner.

As English's daydream ends, the real Agent One, Greg Wise, relies on him to prepare important mission documents. Unfortunately, Agent One's journey ends tragically when a malfunction during a critical operation leads to his untimely death.
