Johnny

Johnny, a con artist, teams up with his friend to settle his father's debts. Born out of wedlock, he longs for recognition and dignity that his family never received. He is also a fan of Archana, which gives his ambitions a personal stake.

Vidyasagar, a barber living in a bungalow away from the city, helps Bhama, a homeless orphan who asks for domestic work. He offers her shelter and basic support, and his feelings for her gradually grow into love. Bhama is ambitious but innocent, which complicates their relationship.

Johnny's latest con targets a businessman, who files a police complaint. While Johnny is in a salon, he spots Vidyasagar and mistakes him for himself, prompting a police call. The commissioner and superintendent investigate, and Vidyasagar becomes a person of interest simply by being near the crime. Johnny's friend arrives at the salon, mistaken Vidyasagar for Johnny, and brings Johnny to meet them.

To shield Vidyasagar from the police, Johnny visits him and admits that he is the real culprit. He asks Vidyasagar to stay home for ten days so he can handle the consequences and go clean. The revelation forges a tense alliance between them.

Archana confesses her love for Johnny, but he is hesitant to reciprocate because of his tainted past. Archana misreads his hesitation as doubt about her integrity. Johnny finally confesses his love and asks for time to sort things before marrying her.

Johnny completes the loan payments to relieve his father of debt. Just as he finishes, his father dies, sealing a tragic end to a turbulent chapter. The double blow leaves Johnny with a heavy sense of responsibility and urgency.

Vidyasagar discovers Bhama with another man who claims a sibling-like bond with her. He proposes to marry her and assures she will be cared for, but Bhama frets about social embarrassment for their future. At night Bhama attempts to escape with the man, and Vidyasagar intervenes, killing them.

Witnesses inform the police, who assume Johnny is behind the frauds and murders; a manhunt begins for him. Vidyasagar, aware that Johnny is wanted, becomes a prime suspect by proximity to the crimes. The case puts Archana in a tense position as the truth starts to unravel.

Aware that Johnny is wanted, Vidyasagar tries to foist the murder charge onto Johnny and push him into hiding. Johnny disappears, while Vidyasagar's own predicament grows. The web of deception tightens around Archana's hopes.

When he learns of Archana's love and wealth, Vidyasagar decides to impersonate Johnny and go to Archana's house. Archana explains she paid the victims with her wealth, which leaves Vidyasagar unsettled as his plans collide with her integrity. He resolves to push ahead with his deception despite the emotional cost.

Vidyasagar reveals his true identity to Archana and admits his manipulation. He tells her that Johnny will return soon and urges her to perform one last concert to lure him back. Archana is torn but chooses to trust Johnny's eventual return.

Johnny spots Archana's concert advertisement and attends, hoping to reconnect. On the night, rain keeps most away, but Archana still sings while the authorities watch closely. A man claiming to be Johnny arrives and is arrested, and Archana realizes the impersonation is actually Vidyasagar in Johnny's clothes.

Just when Archana fears she has lost Johnny, the real Johnny finally arrives, explains the truth, and reconciles with her. Vidyasagar's deception is revealed, and he steps back from the schemes. Johnny and Archana affirm their love and begin a new chapter together.
