Jennifer on My Mind

Marcus discovers Jennifer Da Silva has died of a heroin overdose in his Palisades apartment. Fearing arrest and his inheritance, he resolves to dump the body. His sister Selma and her psychologist boyfriend Sergei suddenly arrive, complicating his plans and making the situation feel out of control.

Selma and Sergei notice Marcus behaving strangely and become suspicious about trouble in the apartment. They search for signs of foul play and potential clues, but they find nothing concrete. The tension mounts as Marcus tries to keep his secret from being exposed.

A flashback shows how Marcus and Jennifer first meet in Venice during a holiday. He is immediately drawn to her reckless charm, while she is charmed by his looks and confidence. Their instant chemistry foreshadows a tumultuous relationship.

As Marcus carries out the plan, three Hells Angels harass him and a pair of motorcycle cops intervene. The encounter breaks his concentration, and he drives away with a lingering sense of unreality. The incident marks another brush with danger as he tries to stay one step ahead.

In a flashback, Marcus relocates to New Jersey to clear his mind and escape the chaos surrounding Jennifer. The move signals a temporary separation and a chance to rebuild distance from the relationship. The sequence hints at a broader pattern of escape and return.

After the overdose, a car chase ensues. Marcus's sports car crashes, catches fire, and explodes with Jennifer's body in the trunk. He escapes the wreck, leaving behind the lifeless scene and the danger closing in.
