His motivation stems from his conviction that someone must stand against the alien menace, even when the odds seem insurmountable.

The Membracelet is a device developed by Professor Membrane that harnesses children's positive energy as a power source. It was designed to tap into collective human determination and can be used with Minimoose to teleport Earth itself. The device became central to humanity's counterattack against Zim's invasion scheme.

Professor Membrane is a brilliant but distracted scientist who often dismisses Dib's belief in Zim as irrational fear. Despite his disappointment in Dib's 'alien-fearing' beliefs, he cares deeply for his family.
