In the final act Identity pulls together all the threads that have been spiralling around the black‑mailing stalker Amar Felix. Amar was not acting on his own; he was a pawn for a much larger conspirator who wanted the cache of compromising videos he kept on a hard‑drive. That conspirator is Allen Jacob, a suspended police officer who makes a living selling the identities of protected witnesses. Allen’s true motive for hunting Amar is to retrieve the drive and to eliminate anyone who could testify against him.
When the investigation seems to point to Haran, the obsessive‑compulsive teen who helped the police sketch a suspect, the truth is revealed: Haran did kill Amar to avenge his stepsister Neeru, who had been raped by Amar. Sakina’s father, Ameer Ali, later confesses to the murder in order to protect Haran and his own family, but the real danger still looms in Allen.
Allen’s plan is far more sinister than a simple robbery. He has arranged for a flight carrying several key witnesses—including the protected witness Chithrammal—to be sabotaged. By coercing an air‑traffic‑controller’s father with blackmail, he intends to crash the plane and erase all testimony that could expose his identity‑theft racket. Haran, who is revealed to be a Sky Marshal, boards the same aircraft. He cuts the transponder, severing the link between the plane and the control tower, which stops the crash in its tracks.
With the flight saved, Haran turns his attention to Allen, who is trying to escape abroad on a chartered jet. In a tense confrontation aboard the aircraft, Haran overpowers the corrupt officer and shoots him, ending Allen’s reign of terror once and for all.
The film closes with Alisha Abdul Salam, the journalist who witnessed Amar’s murder and now lives with prosopagnosia, sharing a quiet moment with Haran. Their brief, playful exchange hints at a possible future together, while also underscoring that both have chosen to stand on the side of justice, refusing to compromise their principles despite the dangerous path they have walked.
