Ice Age

20,000 years in the past, a grumpy mammoth named Manny meets an overly enthusiastic ground sloth named Sid. Left behind during their migration in the harsh ice age, Sid's attempts to venture out on his own quickly lead him to trouble, prompting Manny to step in and save him.

A group of humans, led by Runar, camps near a waterfall, accompanied by his wife Nadia and their baby son Roshan. Unbeknownst to them, Soto, the leader of a pack of saber-tooth tigers, is watching closely, plotting revenge against humans for the decimation of his pack.

Soto orchestrates a chaotic attack on the humans, which forces Nadia to leap over the waterfall to escape with Roshan. However, during this escape, Soto's lieutenant, Diego, fails to capture the child, setting the stage for future confrontations.

While journeying, Manny and Sid encounter Nadia, who is weak and desperate after her escape. In a fleeting moment of urgency, she entrusts her baby Roshan to Manny before succumbing to exhaustion, compelling the duo to help.

Despite his initial reluctance, Manny agrees to help return Roshan to his family, as Sid insists on their mission. The unlikely trio, now consisting of Manny, Sid, and Diego, begins their journey toward Glacier Pass, where Runar and the others are waiting.

During their journey, the trio meets a group of eccentric dodos, leading to a comedic chase for food. This lighthearted encounter showcases the growing camaraderie among Manny, Sid, and Diego as they share the joys and challenges of their adventure.

The trio faces various challenges, including intense weather conditions and encounters with the notorious saber-tooth squirrel, Scrat. These events test their resilience while strengthening the bond among them.

The group travels through an ice cavern adorned with ancient paintings that reveal Manny's traumatic past. A poignant moment occurs when baby Roshan reaches out to a painting of a mammoth family, providing Manny with emotional comfort amidst his grief.

As they near their destination, Diego struggles with his loyalty and his secretive plan to betray Manny and Sid. He grapples with the decision to act against them or protect his newfound friends, showcasing his internal conflict.

A fierce confrontation erupts when Soto's pack ambushes the trio. During this battle, Manny heroically saves Diego from danger, leading to a transformation within Diego who chooses to align with Manny instead of his pack.
