HIT: The First Case

Vikram Rudraraju, a nimble HIT CID officer, lives with frequent PTSD episodes and keeps his tragic past hidden from his girlfriend Neha. He refuses to take drugs, believing they dull his abilities, and eventually takes a sabbatical to recuperate. This quiet period sets the stage for the looming disappearances that will pull him back into the case.

Preethi stalls on the ORR when her car malfunctions. Ibrahim, a commuting police officer, offers to help and lends his mobile to contact her father. Later, Ibrahim spots Preethi getting into a blue car, which he assumes belongs to her father, setting off a chain of misdirections.

Preethi's father Mohan reports her missing and clarifies the blue car isn't his. He and Lakshmi appeal to Vishwanath, a family friend and Vikram's boss, who suspends Ibrahim and questions his alibi. The case begins to draw in high-level attention and suspicion falls on Ibrahim.

Two months pass before Neha goes missing, pushing Vikram back into the police world he had left. Abhilash, his rival, takes charge of Neha's case, but Vikram persistently asks Vishwanath to reassign him. Vikram and Rohit query Neha's colleague Shinde to spot patterns that echo Preethi's disappearance.

Vikram shifts focus to Preethi's missing case and probes college friends Ajay and Sandhya, who reveal that Preethi had been clubbing the night she vanished. They share that Preethi was an orphan raised in Saraswati's orphanage and later adopted by Mohan's brother Shiva and Priya. Vikram pieces together that Preethi's past connects to several people linked to the orphanage.

Sheela, a socially ostracized neighbor, is found with a note mentioning a dead body behind a guest house. Vikram deduces the note is forged to draw attention and interrogates Sheela, who initially denies wrongdoing. He excavates the ground behind the guest house to uncover the truth.

The team discovers a putrid, unrecognizable corpse buried behind the guest house. Forensics reveal traces of DNA from Ajay, Mohan, and Saraswati, derailing the investigation as potential suspects. The case stalls, and Ajay goes missing, further deepening Vikram's doubts.

Ajay vanishes, and Vikram realizes Preethi was his girlfriend; Ajay had left to mourn her death. This revelation reframes the missing persons case and strengthens Vikram's resolve to uncover the truth. The investigators pursue new lines of inquiry linking Ajay with Preethi and the orphanage history.

A call from Latha about a threat on the ORR leads Vikram to check the tollbooth, where he notices a common lorry that passed on both days. He realizes the blue car was hauled aboard the same lorry, pointing to a driver named Fahad, an acquaintance of Ibrahim. This insight pivots the investigation toward Fahad's residence.

Ibrahim guides Vikram to Fahad's residence, where Fahad fires at them and kills Ibrahim. Abhilash intervenes and saves Vikram, and together they subdue Fahad who then reveals the contract to abduct Preethi and Neha. The case seems to move toward a resolution.

Vikram and Abhilash track Fahad to the perpetrator's residence, where Rohit unexpectedly appears. Rohit tries to shoot Vikram but is shot by Vikram; Rohit dies, and Abhilash finds Neha tied and gagged upstairs, confirming a planned international kidnapping plot.

Swapna finally reveals that she was raised by Saraswati along with Alekhya and Preethi, and that Preethi's act of seeking adoption affected Alekhya's fate. She explains her motive for abducting Preethi and the chain of resentment that fueled the crimes. The revelation ties the orphanage past to the present crimes.

Neha is rescued, and Vikram reunites with her, offering a brief respite from his vigil. Swapna's confession touches on Vikram's own history, including the stalking and immolation of his sister Sushmita, though he refuses to disclose those details to Neha. The moment underscores the personal stakes driving his pursuit of justice.

The case concludes with Vikram surviving an assassination attempt, signaling unresolved threats. Neha and Vikram reaffirm their relationship as the film hints at future stories to come. The finale leaves Vikram wary of the shadows from his past catching up with him.
