In 1983, a man named Ravi earns the nickname 'Himmatwala', meaning courageous man, after triumphing in a local club fighting competition. His victory lays the foundation for his journey, highlighting his bravery and physical prowess.

Ravi returns to his village of Ramnagar, where he is reunited with his mother, Savitri, and younger sister, Padma. Despite the warmth of reunion, their lives are overshadowed by the oppressive control of the landlord, Sher Singh.

Ravi learns about the tragic fate of his father, who was a respected temple priest. Framed by Sher Singh for theft and driven to despair, Ravi's father took his own life, fueling Ravi's desire for vengeance against Sher Singh.

After failing to kill Sher Singh in a confrontation, Ravi's family home is set ablaze. Savitri urges Ravi to escape, fearing for his life as the landlord seeks retribution for the attack.
