In the New Mexico badlands, longtime hunting partners Jim and Brad set out for their annual trip, this time joined by Ray, the nephew of their deceased third friend. The desert offers no game, only a grizzled local who tags along. Encounters with two female campers unleash a feral aggression in the group, and by morning the women have vanished, leaving the men besieged by an uncanny, animalistic force that seems to dominate their minds and actions.
