Hercules, Samson & Ulysses

Hercules resides with his wife Iole and their young son at the court of King Laertes in Ithaca, Greece. They are introduced as a peaceful family living in the Greek coastal region. The scene sets the stage for Hercules's peaceful life before embarking on his heroic quest.

A delegation of fishermen arrives at Laertes’s court requesting assistance to deal with a deadly sea monster threatening their livelihood. Hercules volunteers to slay the creature, displaying his courage and reputation as a hero.

Hercules prepares a ship and assembles a crew to confront the sea monster. Ulysses, Laertes's son, joins the voyage, bringing homing pigeons for communication. Hercules’s team then departs from Ithaca to face the beast.

Hercules successfully spears the sea monster, but a violent storm erupts, sinking their ship. Only six men, including Hercules and Ulysses, survive and float on a fragment of the wreckage. They eventually reach a new land, marking a pivotal survival moment.

The survivors land on the coast of Judea and travel to the city of Gaza. They seek aid from the Philistine king, the Seren, hoping to obtain a ship for their return journey. This marks the beginning of their conflicts with the Philistines.

While traveling, Hercules kills a lion that attacks them. The Philistine horse-dealer, seeing the lion's carcass, mistakenly believes Hercules to be the Danite fugitive Samson. This misunderstanding leads to further conflicts with the Philistines.

Philistine soldiers raid the Danite village, kill children, burn the village, and capture able-bodied men to sell as slaves. Samson fights back, killing soldiers and saving a woman, reinforcing his reputation as a mighty hero.

In Gaza, Hercules is challenged to prove he is not Samson. Delilah, working with the Philistines, tries to lure Samson out. Hercules and Samson eventually confront each other, realizing they share common goals for Danite freedom.

Delilah deceives Samson into revealing his strength, leading to his capture by the Philistines. She pretends that Hercules is kidnapping her to facilitate the escape of Danite prisoners. This betrayal results in Samson's imprisonment and the Philistines' planning to kill him.

Hercules and Ulysses devise a plan to rescue the captured Greeks and themselves. Hercules prepares to fake-deliver Samson to the Philistine king, while Ulysses warns the others of the impending danger. The tension rises as the plan unfolds.

Hercules, Samson, and the Greek escape team fight off Philistine soldiers at the temple of Dagon. They hurl boulders and topple the structure on the soldiers, using raw strength to combat their enemies and fight for freedom.

The Greeks attempt to sail away on a ship, but the Philistine army sets the ship on fire with flaming arrows, leading to its destruction. Hercules, Iole, and the others jump into the sea to escape further captivity.

As the ship burns, the Philistines shoot arrows at the Greek survivors. Ulysses is wounded by an arrow, and Samson throws a spear to kill the attacking Seren, marking a climactic conflict and Ulysses's heroic death.

The remaining Greek allies aboard a rescue ship sail away, with Samson crying out to Iole as their savior. Hercules warns Samson against Delilah’s betrayal as he dives overboard, choosing to swim ashore to continue his adventures.
