Joe Moore leads a crew in a bold jewelry store heist and deliberately exposes his face by pulling off his mask to distract the last employee. The plan fails as a security camera records him, and the team cannot retrieve the footage in time. Realizing he's now identifiable, Joe decides to retire from crime and plan a quiet disappearance aboard a sailboat with Fran.

Bergman withholds the payoff from the attempted heist and pushes for a bigger target: an airplane carrying a gold shipment. He insists that his nephew Jimmy Silk join the crew, tightening his grip on the operation. The move sets up a web of loyalties and betrayals ahead.

Jimmy's loyalties are tested as he shows interest in Fran, while Bergman and Jimmy grow suspicious of Joe's competence. The crew's dynamics become unstable as the plan to rob the airplane looms closer. The tension foreshadows impending betrayals that could unravel everything.

During the setup for the next heist, a passing police officer interrupts the operation. Joe returns to the plane in disguise and, with Bobby, removes a shipment they had booked on board, insisting it must be driven to its destination due to the delay. Bergman captures Pinky on the way to his niece, and Pinky reveals the plan using a code word before he is killed. Joe waits for Fran with a truck filled with black-painted rods, but Fran switches sides and uses Jimmy to ambush him, stealing the truck.
