Venkob Rao [Anant Nag] suffers from Alzheimer’s and has been admitted to an old-age home by his career-driven son Shiva [Rakshit Shetty]. Now settled in Mumbai, Shiva has come down to Bengaluru for a business meeting that could finally fulfill his dream of moving to the United States. When Venkob Rao disappears during a shopping trip, the search sets off a chain of events that tests family loyalties and forces hard choices into the open.
Meanwhile, a local civil servant is murdered while uncovering a land scam, and Ranga [Vasishta N. Simha] is tasked with making the death look like an accident. With Venkob Rao missing, Shiva is compelled to confront the decisions he has made in the past as the dream of going abroad grows nearer to realization.
He begins looking for Venkob Rao with the reluctant help of Dr. Sahana [Sruthi Hariharan], and throughout this long journey, Shiva starts to see new facets of his father’s personality and forms a tentative bond with the doctor. Their evolving connection deepens the film’s quiet, introspective tone.
A clueless Venkob Rao ends up crossing paths with Ranga and his blunt young assistant Manja, who are in the process of disposing of the civil servant’s body. Kumar [Achyuth Kumar], a good Samaritan returning home, becomes entangled with Ranga, Manja and Venkob Rao, pulling the threads of the narrative into a tighter, more intimate circle.
As Shiva’s search continues, he discovers what has been missing in his life, and in Venkob Rao’s presence, Ranga recalls something he had lost years ago. Ranga, Manja and Venkob Rao stay under Kumar’s roof for a time, creating a fragile, tense domestic conflict. Ranga threatens the family with death if they expose the truth to the police, and to cover up the murder, his boss orders him to kill Kumar, his family and Manja—a command he reluctantly accepts, even as the moral cost weighs on him.
The plot thickens when Manja, who is in love with a dancer named Reshma connected to Ranga’s boss, inadvertently reveals that Ranga has not carried out the murder. When the boss learns of this, he dispatches a policeman to finish the job, leading to a violent confrontation in which both men die. Saddened by Ranga’s death, Manja retaliates by killing the boss and Reshma, fracturing the criminal web further.
Meanwhile, a helpful moment arrives when Kumar spots a missing-poster of Venkob Rao and reaches out to Shiva to share the news. The emotional reunion between father and son unfolds, and Shiva’s life takes another turn as he marries Dr. Sahana, sealing a resolution that centers on forgiveness, familial ties, and the meaning of home. Through every twist and turn, the film maintains a grounded, humanist tone that invites reflection on choices, duty, and what truly matters when dreams collide with reality.
Sanchari Vijay [Sanchari Vijay] makes a brief cameo that threads through the climactic moments, adding texture without pulling focus from the central relationships.
